Our fourth annual Global Employee Volunteer Month (GEVM) was a true success. Over 6,000 hours were volunteered by more than 1,300 employees, exceeding our goal of 1,100 volunteers. This amazing effort is a testament to the dedication and compassion of our employees. To share just a few of the accomplishments of our CIT volunteers and their friends and families, those participating:
Built houses with Habitat for Humanity in 3 U.S. states and 2 countries.
Assembled 88,435 pink ribbons for breast cancer.
Planted trees, flowers and gardens on 3 continents in underprivileged communities.
Cleaned 3 beaches in North America.
Biked, walked and ran over 200 miles to raise awareness and funding for medical and community organizations
Delivered food to homebound elderly, prepared and served food for children and the homeless, and helped sort food at food banks.
